This week I am 35 weeks pregnant and I mowed the lawn at our house. Originally, my husband didn’t want me to mow the lawn while I was pregnant because he didn’t want the neighbors to judge us. Specifically, he didn’t want them to judge him and think he was a bad husband. The truth is with my schedule, I have more time to mow the lawn and it is good gentle exercise for me. Also, my husband likes to receives Acts of Service as his love language. If you are not familiar with the concept of love languages, I would high recommend reading: “The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts” by Dr. Gary Chapman. Every person is unique in the way they want to receive each love language. I don’t think our neighbors would judge us necessarily. but you never know. If they did ask me about it, I would tell them about all the work Nathan has been doing inside our house to prepare for the baby. Not only does me mowing the lawn help it feel loved and supported, but it also helps free up his time for home improvement projects. If you see something this week and think it is odd or start to judge others, remember: you may not be seeing the full picture. Whether you realize it or not, judging others depletes your energy from your solar plexus chakra. If something really is bothering you, pray for a higher perspective of the situation.
