While reading the book, “The Empath Survival Guide”, the author discusses the idea of being stressed out from airports because of all the hurried energy and stressed people. She talks about how to cope and recommends using a personal air purifier. She talks about the importance of grounding and centering yourself. I do have to say this airport concept was interesting to me because I love flying so much that airports and planes don’t bother me at all. I had not realized the juxtaposition before. Other crowded places like shopping malls can make me feel drained after a couple hours. In the book, she also talks about how anything that’s unhealed within ourselves is what we are more likely to attract from other people to absorb. Sometimes, situations are so toxic you are likely to absorb them anyway but situations that are unhealed for you specifically are an opportunity for growth. She talks about the importance of shielding. Although grounding, centering, and shielding were not news to me because I have read so many Doreen Virtue book, I was still glad to have this author’s take on things in reference to being an empath.
How do you feeling in airports? If you feel uncomfortable and airports you will be a magnet to absorb other people’s discomfort about airports and traveling. The good thing about being an empath is that you can also attract and absorb people’s happy and loving energy! Since I absolutely love flying and wish I could fly more often, when I go to airport I attract that excited energy from other people. I normally feel as high as a kite on feelings of pure joy when I fly. Whether you enjoy flying or not, make sure you ground yourself, center yourself, and shield yourself when flying. How do you feeling in airports when you use grounding, centering, and shielding? One of my favorite grounding techniques is visualizing roots coming from the bottom of my feet all the way to the core of the Earth. What techniques do you use?
